Applications to SI2E - Incentive System for Entrepreneurship and Employment, which allow the support of investments in the creation / expansion / modernization of micro and small enterprises, are also open, which also include incentives to create new jobs. In this phase applications are open for projects located in several NUTS II counties of the North, Alentejo and Algarve regions.
Investment costs shall be eligible for:
• Machinery, equipment, respective installation and transportation;
• Computer equipment;
• Software;
• Design and registration of new brands or collections;
• Domicile of applications, initial adhesion to electronic platforms, initial subscription of applications in "SaS" schemes, creation and initial publication of new electronic contents, as well as inclusion or cataloging in directories or search engines;
• Rolling stock directly related to the exercise of the activity;
• Studies, diagnostics, audits, marketing plans and architectural and engineering projects essential to the project;
• Remodeling or adaptation works;
• Participation in fairs and exhibitions abroad.
The incentive to be awarded under this component is non-refundable and may reach a maximum rate of 60%, calculated on eligible expenditure.
For the purposes of job creation, in the ESF component, the expenses with remuneration of jobs created in the following situations are eligible:
• Creation of own employment;
• Creation of jobs for unemployed registered for more than 6 months in the IEFP;
• Creation of jobs for young people up to 30 years in search of the first job.
The incentive to invest in the ESF component is attributed through the reimbursement of salaries, with a monthly limit of value corresponding to the Social Support Index (IAS) for a period of:
• 9 months, for permanent employment contracts or creation of own employment;
• 3 months for fixed-term work contracts with a minimum duration of 12 months.
The base period can be increased up to 6 months, according to the following situations:
• Projects located in low density territories;
• Business creation projects;
• Hiring under-represented workers or qualified workers.
For jobs created with a term, an increase is granted in the case of conversion of the fixed-term employment contract into an unpaid employment contract, which corresponds to the amount equivalent to twice the monthly basic remuneration provided for therein up to the limit of 5 times the value of IAS.
