It was announced the applications for the certification of entities to provide services under the typologies of Internationalization Opportunities and Research Opportunities.
Under the Internationalization Opportunities, companies can adquire services two components:
- Diagnostic component, which includes (1) identifying products / services x markets that represent opportunities for internationalization, (2) needs for product / service adjustments and business models (including distribution channels), (3) diagnosis of opportunities for evolution in the value chain, and (4) the need for adjustments of digital communication strategies - For this component the maximum incentive granted is € 5,000;
- Technical assistance component for the implementation of short-term recommendations, including services of (1) prospecting visits to attract new clients in foreign markets, (2) prospecting visits to international fairs and (3) invitations for importers to visit Portugal and have a better knowledge of the company offer - For this component the maximum incentive granted is € 5,000.
Under the Research Opportunities, services can be purchased from:
- Diagnostic component, which includes (1) identification of technical problems at the product and process level, the resolution of which involves the contracting of R & D or technology transfer services including the demonstration of non-disseminated technology in the sector and (2) Evaluation of R & D opportunities and identification of an R & D strategy and respective action plan - For this component the maximum incentive granted is € 5,000;
- Technical assistance component for the implementation of short-term recommendations arising from the diagnostic phase - For this component the maximum incentive granted is € 10,000.
The services to be rendered should focus on technologies that are at a Technological Maturity Level of 7 or less - Demonstration of the prototype of the system in an operational environment ( ddd) of the art. 2 of the RECI).
The incentives to be granted within the framework of these incentives have historically assumed a maximum rate of 75%, with the exception of the incentives to be granted by the Regional Program of Lisbon, which are calculated by applying to eligible investments a maximum rate of 40%.
Candidate companies must hire a previously accredited entity to provide services, and STEAM is accredited to provide Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Internationalization services. As soon as the accreditation form is available, the application for accreditation for Internationalization Opportunities services will also be made.
